Clayton Community Centre
The Clayton Community Centre in Surrey, BC, Canada. Photographed over 36 hours, the shoot included two evenings and a very early morning session to cover exteriors and drone photography, and a full day of interior photography. The remaining construction materials and fencing were removed during post-production.
This 76,000 sq.ft passive house community centre’s steel and concrete structure supports a one-of-a-kind glue-laminated roof structure. The library is situated in the south with large areas of glass to increase exposure to solar heat. The gymnasium, fitness centre, and rehearsal hall are oriented to the north to reduce cooling needs. The building combines arts, recreation, a library, and park spaces.
