Jennifer,

I think I bought my filter from B&H (bhphotovideo.com), there are not too many places where this filter is available, you will probably need to get it from a Pro Photo shop. A local store might be able to order one in for you. It would be difficult to achieve this effect on a sunny day without the filter, the exposures are about 30 sec for these photos. You just cant get that exposure with standard equipment on a sunny day. If you are creative though might be able to achieve a similar and likely more artistic effect using a pinhole camera. There are numerous resources for making a pinhole lens for a DSLR to be found online!

hi,
love these photos, have a very unique style to them.
i was wondering, whereabouts you purchased the filter? and if it's possible to take photos like this without the filter?

Hey Craig (mutch) thanks for stopping by. Exposures were 30 seconds at f-22 with the B+W 10 Stop ND filter
